You Won’t Let Me

I wish I could climb like a monkey,

Jumping from tree to tree,

Swinging through the vines,

But you won’t let me.

I want to be three again,

Drinking juice boxes,

Dancing in the house,

But you won’t let me.

Years ago I could be free,

Smiling and laughing all day,

Not only playing, but winning the game,

Now, you won’t let me.

My every thought is of you,

I do things for you,

I don’t do things without you,

I try to be happy,

I try to forget,

You won’t let me.

I do indeed love strawberry milkshakes, rainy days, all types of noodles and a good book. What do you love?
